How we work

Most people calling a roofer are not enjoying the experience. Something is leaking, they do not know whether it is a small repair or a new roof, and they have no way of telling whether the price they are quoted is fair. That is the problem we try to solve before we solve the roof.

So we quote in writing with the work broken down, we say what happens to the price if we find rotten timber once the covering is off, and we publish our prices openly on this site so you can check ours against anyone else's. If the honest answer is that you need a repair rather than the replacement someone else quoted for, we will tell you that, even though the repair is worth less to us.

We work on a lot of older Canterbury property, which means hand-cut timbers, non-standard tile sizes and Kent peg tiles that have to be matched rather than ordered off a pallet. Large parts of the city and of Faversham sit in conservation areas, where the materials may be specified for you. Knowing that before quoting is the difference between a price that holds and one that moves.

What we will not do

We do not cold call, we do not knock on doors after a storm, and we do not use the pressure tactics that give roofing a bad name. If someone turns up unannounced saying they noticed a problem with your roof while passing, that is not us, and we would suggest you send them away.
