    Terms of Service

    Last updated 31 August 2026

    Who these apply to

These terms cover roofing work carried out by StoneRidge Roofing Ltd for customers in Canterbury and across east Kent. They sit alongside your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which they do not reduce.

    Quotes

Quotes are free, given in writing, and valid for 30 days. Material prices move, and we would rather re-quote than start a job on a figure that no longer covers the work.

A quote is based on what can be seen at the time. Where a roof has to be opened up, problems underneath such as rotten decking, failed battens or wet insulation cannot always be identified in advance. If we find something, we will stop, show you, and agree the extra cost with you in writing before carrying on. We will not add work to an invoice that you have not agreed to.

    Prices published on this site

The figures on our costs page are typical price bands to help you judge whether a quote is fair. They are not an offer and they are not a quote for your roof. Only a written quote from us is that.

    Payment

Payment terms are set out in your written quote. We do not ask for large deposits before work begins, and we never ask to be paid in cash without a written quote and receipt.

    Guarantee

Complete re-roofs carry a 15-year workmanship guarantee, issued in writing with your paperwork. It covers our workmanship. It does not cover storm damage, accidental damage, wear to materials beyond their expected life, work later altered by someone else, or problems caused by parts of the building we did not work on. Manufacturer warranties on materials are separate and we will tell you what they are.

    Cancelling

Where you agree to work away from our premises, you generally have 14 days to cancel without giving a reason. If you ask us to start within that period and then cancel, we may charge for what has already been done. Emergency call-outs are chargeable once we have attended.

    Access and the site

We need safe access to the roof and, where scaffolding is required, somewhere to put it. We sheet-cover plants and cover what we can, but we will point out anything at risk before starting rather than after. Please tell us in advance about anything fragile, about pets, and about neighbours whose land we might need to cross.

    If something goes wrong

Tell us first, and quickly. Call 07562690714 or email [email protected]. We would far rather come back and put something right than have you unhappy. We are fully insured, and we will give you our insurer's details on request.

    Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. See also our privacy policy.
